Black and White

I am a big fan of House Beautiful and in the May issue they have a section on 100 tips from 100 designers.  Lots of good tips, but one that stood out for me was the advice that every room should have a black accent as well as an antique.  I thought this was interesting advice.  I am a big fan of both and thought it was interesting to see what having each in a room does from a style perspective.  Finding examples was harder than I thought it would be, but there is what I found.

Loved the wire frame bed with the antique truck…great example of mixing accents.
